Font Galleries

The internet can be a crazy place nowadays. With so much content and marketing departments doing an insane work with keyword plays you can end up having dafont as your only font source but no, your bud from Greece has your back as promised. There you go!

1. Fontshare

Fontshare is a free fonts service from the Indian Type Foundry (ITF), making quality fonts accessible to all. It has a variety of 100 fonts and also comes with 59 different pairs in case you struggle with that too. They have also done a great job with the display so you can play around without downloading the font until you are actually sure that's what you're looking for. If you are like me you will end up downloading them all so why do I even bother?!

2. Free Faces

This is a gallery created by Simon Foster and I got to say I really love it! He has done an amazing job organizing the whole thing and making it feel very comfortable to roam around and find what you might be looking for. All of the fonts are free for personal use and most of them are free for commercial but make sure you check before you download!

3. UNCUT

Now for our alternative ones, UNCUT is a free typeface catalogue focusing on somewhat contemporary type. There are currently 163 typefaces featured form a variety of different artist and you can definitely go nuts with them.

Sum up

I was about to make a list of the different types of licenses a font might come with but oof they are a LOT. So to make things clear there are a list of different things you can or can't do with every font. The terminology kinda helps you understand what's up so I will just note you things out and from there you make your own research. There are personal use fonts, commercial use, open source, free for redistribution, fonts that you can modify, fonts with geographic restrictions and last but not least the two different types of payed fonts, the perpetual and the subscription one.

I hope you enjoy these and of course thank you to all the teams or people behind these websites for making our lives easier. You're awesome!
